What does being a PUM staff volunteer look like?
Volunteer position
The staff volunteer role includes a small expense allowance. We prefer individuals committed for up to four years. It will take two or three days per week, with one day preferably spent in the office in The Hague. Furthermore, you are expected to travel a few times a year.
Nationality & Residence
PUM works with volunteers in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, or Germany, with primary health care insurance and an EU passport.
Age
We greatly appreciate that you would like to be a PUM staff volunteer. You are invited to engage in volunteer work for PUM until the year in which you reach the age of 72. To ensure a commitment of at least four years, we can register you as a PUM staff volunteer before you reach 69 years of age.
Professionals
PUM staff volunteers are dynamic and digitally savvy professionals. They have a proven track record in relevant leadership roles, providing guidance to diverse teams. They have a strong intercultural sensitivity, cultivating fruitful relationships with several stakeholders.
Language
PUM’s primary language is English. All those working and volunteering for PUM have excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing. French or Spanish proficiency are very much appreciated!
